The foreign policy of main European and non European countries from the half of the XIX century till the first world war; the great social and economic transformations; the second industrial revolution and the mass society. The foreign policy of main European and non European countries from the first world war till the end of the cold war; the totalitarian regimes; the second world war; the bipolar world; the fall of soviet union. Part of the course will be dedicated to Italy: the birth and development of Italian Kingdom till the fist world war; Italy from the rise of fascism, till the second world war; the birth, development and crisis of the republic.
