HISTORY AND CRITICISM OF PHOTOGRAPHY
(objectives)
This course is aimed to analyze photography, its social functions, its role within the history of image, in a relation with both fine arts and vision devices (cinema, television, video, Internet), including the advent of digital photography.

(syllabus)
The course is divided in two sections, each composed of 9 lessons. The first is dedicated to the history of photography. The second analyses – in collaboration with Alessandra Mauro - the concept of Photographic Exhibition, starting from "War is Over!", the exhibition that both of them, together with Gabriele D'Autilia have curated, first in Rome, Palazzo Braschi, then in Milan, Spazio Forma.
