Aesthetics and Practice.
The Historical Dimension of Expression.

Aesthetic categories and judgements structure our daily lives. In particular, the aesthetic dimension of experience emerges, in human practices and history, outlining a path for actions and reasons that move the progress of history. What makes our aesthetic attitude appear in the historical mosaic? The course aims to read some texts written by Benedetto Croce, focusing on his large contribution to the Italian and the European schools of thought: we will talk about his great ability to collect the significant and relevant features of the “aesthetic expression”, and his ideas about the connection between aesthetics, ethics and economy.
