HISTORY OF CONTEMPORARY INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
(objectives)
The course is meant for graduate students who already have a basic knowledge of the international history of the twentieth century. It is conceived as an advanced seminar and the students are expected to play a very active role, to engage the teacher with their questions, to give a group oral presentation on a topic assigned at the beginning of the course, and to participate in the collective discussions. The main goal is to provide the students with a broad understanding of the crucial issues of the contemporary international system, and with the analytical skills to interpret a research monograph.
