Introduction to electric drives: definitions, functional block diagrams; types of electric motors, direct current and alternating current; Work quadrant; dissipative and regenerative braking considerations on the thermal behavior and the machine's cooling systems and the converter. Dynamic motor-load system transfer function and block diagram of the mechanical system; typical trajectories of the motion control; types of mechanical load and types of service ,; calculation of the equivalent inertia for typical mechanical systems. static converters for electric drives: types and general characteristics; electronic switching components; ac-dc converters, dc-dc, dc-ac (voltage three-phase inverter stamped); modulation techniques for three-phase two-level inverter. Drives with direct current machine: structure, elementary scheme, constructive aspects, the dynamic model, the torque expression and mechanical characteristics of a direct current machine; Current and speed control; drives with DC motor. Drives with synchronous machine: structure and principle of operation of a synchronous machine; dynamic model of the machine in the d-q-0 variables; Analysis of operating in sinusoidal regime; control strategies in electrical drives with synchronous machine. Drives with phase induction motor: structure and working principle of a three-phase asynchronous machine; dynamic model of the machine in the d-q-0 variables; Analysis of operating in sinusoidal regime; control strategies in electric drives with asynchronous machine: scalar control to open and closed loop (V / Hz constant); vector control principles and the DTC technique.
