(syllabus)
The course aims to outline the development of economic theories from the Antiques until the most recent research programmes. A special focus will be on the works of F. Quesnay, A. Smith, D. Ricardo, T. R. Malthus, K. Marx, A. Marshall, V. Pareto, J. M. Keynes. As concerns the most recent developments, we shall undeline the theories that most deal with money, business cycle, unemployment and financial crises. The course aims to increase the students' awareness on the critical relationships among facts, theories and public policies.
