The Love Permanence. Aesthetics, eros and society.
The Love and the intertwining of bodies in sex - in their double meaning of "beauty and sensuality" and “communion” - can be critical to the alternative forms of a single global idea, of domination and repression. Love, as an improvement of knowledge and action, can become the aesthetic form of a society in the real meanings of its authentic freedom. The course will explore the erotic dimension as an insuppressible and fundamental aesthetic condition of social coexistence between humans. The keyword of the curriculum offered by the reading of basic texts, will be the "permanence of love": starting from Plato, going on with Kierkegaard, Schopenhauer, Sartre, Marcuse, Foucault, we will meditate on love using the description of “permanent art” understood as a constant and essential qualification of human activity.
