The romance novel Flamenca
The course will be dedicated to the analysis of the only medieval Occitan novel, Flamenca. The extraordinary beauty and originality will be highlightened, along with the courtly elements, the irony and the satire against the ideology of fin'amors and troubadour poetry, which play a prominent role, connoting the text as a unique work in the entire Romance tradition.
