(syllabus)
Crossing Boundaries between theatre and cinema in North-America American theatrical operators began experimenting, since Modernism, in a rich exchange and fruitful intersections of performance and media forms, besides adaptations from fictional work and real life. A choice of canonical plays and of contemporary experimental or indie cinematic products will be examined in their intersections with past and present artistic forms. Attention will be drawn to the translation of the different texts.
