FM210 - MATHEMATICAL PHYSICS 1
(objectives)
In this course the students will learn how to apply the mathematical techniques introduced in the basic calculus and linear algebra courses to the study of simple dynamical systems, motivated by problems in non-relativistic mechanics. They will become acquainted with the study of linear ordinary differential equations and with the qualitative description of motion, with emphasis on simple integrable systems, such as linear systems, one-dimensional mechanical systems, central force motion, the two-body problem and the rigid body.
