Introduction to Hydrodynamics: physical properties of fluids. Hydrostatics: pressure distribution and determination of forces on surfaces. Kinematics: motion description, material derivative, Reynolds theorem, analysis of the velocity field in the neighbourhood of a point. Dynamics: mass and momentum equations. Kinetic energy equation for a real, incompressible fluid. Steady, uniform pipe motion. Hydraulic losses calculation. Energy exchange between a stream and a hydraulic machine.
