(syllabus)
The program consists in a cycle of theoretical lessons on the main features of
the language of journalism, particularly as regards the mediation of news
through different points of view (textbook: "Views in the News").
In addition, we will compare the evolution of English as a global language
with other lingua francas of the past, taking into consideration important of
sociocultural and lexicogrammar aspects. (textbook: "The Sociocultural
Dimension of ELF in the English Classroom").
