The course concerns the Italian law of succession, that is the general rules of succession (artt. 456-564 cod. civ.), the intestacy law (artt. 565-586), the law of wills (artt. 587-712), and the rules on the division of the inheritance (artt. 713-768 octies). The different issues will be treated through the analysis of proper cases, taking also into account historic and comparative data. The course, thus, will have a seminar nature and it is intended for the active participation of Students through the discussion of the proposed cases and the preparation of written essays on the topics of the course.
