PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
(objectives)
The course intends to analyze the issue of the philosophy today, its sense, its validity, its research that, as such, is difficult to teach, in so far thinking, as Sartre said, is “to proceed beyond”. Undeniable is the role played by Lacan to carry us outside from Modernity towards a reality that begins where the world ends. Which is then the philosopher’s task? Rocco Ronchi, facing to the supremacy of analytic philosophy or the legacy of a historiographic and philological attitude, declares the end of the theoretical philosophy. What is left of a philosophy considered as a quest for the absolute and the universal, which cannot be reduced to the limits of the human thought? In the contemporary age this is the challenge for those who dedicate themselves to the philosophical research, which is torn by the alternative between a people-oriented philosophy, and a philosophy that, looking beyond the human limits, aims to win back its ancient role of aspiration to the absolute. The latter implies the overcoming of the human understandings, and it could even share the aspirations of the science.
