CULTURE IN ENGLISH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES
(objectives)
This course aims to make students aware of the complex and ambivalente cultural (social, political, ethical, economic) implications regarding la presence of English as a first, second and foreign language and as a lingua franca across the globe today, and to help them understand how the current situation came to be. Language skills: By the end of the course, through the study of the materials in the program – print and video – students should have a B2 level on reading and listening comprehension. Students attending the lessons will have further language practice.
