The course aims to provide students with good knowledge of the first few centuries of Portuguese literature, with a special focus on its main literary and cultural expressions. Students will also be expected to acquire the methodological competence needed to understand and analyze medieval and late-medieval Portuguese texts. The course aims to provide also good knowledge of contemporary Portuguese literature and specific methodological competences needed to analyze contemporary texts.
