The course is articulated in three passages:a) A genealogy of the main theories on the concept of “community” (moving froma Aristotle’s notions of oikonomia, koinon politikè, koinonia)b) A survey of the relationship between community and society (From Tönnies to Weber, from Durkheim to Mauss)c) An analysis of the contemporary debate on the notion of “commons”
