URBAN AND REGIONAL ECONOMICS
(objectives)
THE COURSE HAS TWO KEY OBJECTIVES: FIRST PROVIDE THE STUDENTS WITH AN IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF THE MOST RELEVANT MODELS AND ECONOMIC TOOLS IN URBAN AND REGIONAL ECONOMICS AND POLICY; SECOND DEVELOP AN EXTENSIVE COVERAGE OF THE RECENT EVOLUTION OF PUBLIC POLICIES AT THE NATIONAL AND EUROPEAN UNION LEVEL WITH A SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON THEIR TERRITORIAL IMPACTS. PART OF THE COURSE WILL BE DEVOTED TO THE ANALYSIS OF EMPIRICAL EXAMPLES, PRACTICAL EXPERIENCES AND ANALYSIS OF CASE STUDIES TO BE SELECTED IN LINE WITH THE INTERESTS OF THE CLASS.
