The course will provide basic and advanced notions on the energy budget of the Earth, on the climate mechanisms, and on the complex interactions among the main factors affecting climate. The discussion of unknown aspects, uncertainties, and methodologies for the observation of key parameters will be aimed at allowing the student to identify open problems and address the study of climate from the theoretical and experimental point of view.
