(syllabus)
ITALIAN CINEMA. FROM POSTWAR TO THE 60s. Program: The course focuses on two of the most important periods in the history of Italian cinema: postwar cinema and the 60s. The first part is devoted to the most representatives theories, films, authors, figures, and styles of neorealism. The second part analyzes the diverse panorama of the 60s: from auteur cinema of old and new generations to genre movements such as comedy and spaghetti western.
