AFTER THE COURSE, THE STUDENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO: 1) DESCRIBE IN PHYLOGENETIC TERMS THE MORPHOLOGICAL, BIOGEOGRAPHICAL AND ECOLOGICAL TRAITS OF THE FOCAL GROUPS OF TERRESTRIAL VERTEBRATES (CF. THE FILES GIVEN BY THE PROFESSOR); 2) ASSIGN A GIVEN SPECIES OF TERRESTRIAL VERTEBRATE TO ITS HIGHER TAXONOMIC GROUPS AND DISCUSS ITS PHYLOGENETIC POSITION; 3) DISCUSS TOPICS OF CONSERVATION AND MANAGEMENT OF VERTEBRATES WITHIN NATURAL ECOSYSTEMS; 4) WORKING FOR PUBLIC AND PRIVATE AGENCIES ON NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS FOCUSED ON WILDLIFE CONSERVATION, MANAGEMENT AND LEGAL TRADE.
