The goal of the course is to illustrate the main semantic phenomena, with special emphasis on lexical structure and the crucial lexical processes. The conceptual content will be applied to written texts, and particular from journals, periodicals and media broadcastings. Some rhetorical phenomena (in particular metaphor and metonymy will be taken into account mainly as regards their role in lexical expansion.
