GEOMORPHOLOGY AND LABORATORY
(objectives)
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE THE BASIC FORMATION NECESSARY TO UNDERSTAND THE EARTH RELIEF EVOLUTION WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO SURFACE LANDFORMS AND RELATED DEPOSITS. THE COMPETENCES AND SKILLS AQUIRED BY THE STUDENTS WILL MAKE THEM CAPABLE TO WORK IN SEVERAL FIELDS OF EARTH SCIENCES, EITHER IN PURE SCIENCE (CONTINENTAL GEOLOGY, SURFACE PROCESSES, PALEOCLIMATE) OR IN APPLICATION (LANDSLIDES, FLUVIAL EROSION AND FLOODING, COASTAL EROSION, EARTHQUAKES, VOLCANIC HAZARD, ETC.). AT THE MODULE END, THE STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO: RECOGNIZE THE GEOMORPHOLOGICAL EXPRESSION OF SEDIMENTARY SEQUENCES AND TECTONIC STRUCTURES; TO INDIVIDUATE
