On completion of the course participants will be able to describe and evaluate:
1. The complex relationships between justice, care and control in social welfare and community justice and the practical and their ethical implications;
2. Factors guiding the choice and evaluation of interventions in different circumstances;
3. The relationship between agency policies, legal requirements, ethical principles and professional boundaries;
4. Relationships between agency policies, legal and regulatory requirements and professional boundaries in shaping the nature of services provided in inter-disciplinary contexts;
5. Issues associated with working across professional boundaries and with different disciplines;
6. Factors and processes facilitating effective service integration, inter-agency collaboration and partnership.
