COURSE OBJECTIVES THE COURSE HAS TWO MAIN OBJECTIVES: - TO GIVE STUDENTS AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE REGULATORY AND INSTITUTIONAL FRAMEWORK WITHIN WHICH BANKS OPERATE - TO EXAMINE PROVISIONS CONCERNING CONTRACTS RELATING TO BANKING BUSINESS TO THESE ENDS, THE MAIN AREAS OF LEGISLATION OF THE FINANCIAL MARKET– BOTH DOMESTIC AND EUROPEAN - WILL BE LOOKED AT . SPECIAL REFERENCE WILL BE MADE TO THE CONSOLIDATED BANKING AND FINANCIAL LAWS. THE COURSE WILL ALSO LOOK AT: - THE EVOLUTION OF THE SUPERVISORY FRAMEWORK, WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO RECENT AND FUTURE CHANGES IN EUROPEAN UNION LEGISLATION. - THE REASONS BEHIND THE CURRENT REGULATORY FRAMEWORK OF BANKING CONTRACTS WITH FOCUS ON THE ISSUE OF CONSUMER PROTECTION .
