C.I. PRINCIPLES OF IMMUNOLOGY AND APPLIED BIOLOGY
(objectives)
THE COURSE WILL INTRODUCE THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF THE IMMUNE SYSTEM AS A PHYSIOLOGICAL SYSTEM ABLE TO MODIFY IN RESPONSE TO EXTERNAL STIMULATIONS AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS. THERE WILL BE PRESENTED THE THEORICAL BASIS OF THESE ADAPTIVE PRINCIPLES, THE NATURE AND THE FUNCTION OF THE CELLS, FABRICS AND ORGANS INVOLVED IN THE IMMUNE RESPONSE. WILL BE SHOWN: CELL BIOLOGY, CELL PHYSIOLOGY AND NORMAL CELLULAR DIFFERENTIATION INVOLVED IN THE GENERATION OF IMMUNE RESPONSE. INTRODUCTION TO THE METHODS (EXECUTION, VALIDATION) OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH, INTENDED AS A SYSTEMATIC, CONTROLLED, EMPIRICAL AND CRITICAL STUDY OF NATURAL PHENOMENOLOGY, WHICH IS DEVELOPED FROM THE FORMULATION OF AN HYPOTHESIS UNTIL THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE EXPLANATION. SETTING THE BASIC SKILLS RELATIVE TO THE PROCESSING OF EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS AND THE COMMUNICATION IN THE WRITTEN FORM. STUDENT ORIENTATION FOR THE CHOICE OF THE ARGUMENT OF FIRST-LEVEL THESIS AND OF THE MASTER'S DEGREE BY EXPLORING THE SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS OF THE DIFFERENT RESEARCH GROUPS THAT OPERATE IN OUR DEPARTMENT
