THE COURSE PURSUES THE FOLLOWING GOALS: - ACQUIRE PRINCIPLES AND TECHNIQUES FOR LEARNING ASSESSMENT; - IDENTIFY THE FORERUNNERS OF DISTANCE EDUCATION; - FOLLOW THE HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF DISTANCE EDUCATION FROM 1850 UNTIL TODAY; - RECOGNISE THE MAIN FEATURES OF MEDIATED INTERACTION AGAINST DIRECT INTERACTION; - ESTABLISH THE EFFECTS OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL REVOLUTION ON DISTANCE EDUCATION; - DEFINE A PROCEDURE COMBINING TEACHING MESSAGE, INFORMATION ACQUISITION AND FEEDBACK; - MATCH THE MAIN APPROACHES TO EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH WITH DISTANCE EDUCATION; - CLASSIFY THE MAIN FEATURES OF THE NON-HOMOGENEOUS EDUCATIONAL OFFER.
