BIOLOGICAL MATTER PHYSICS
(objectives)
A course introducing the physical principles that underlie phenomena in cell biology as well as properties of biological macromolecules as “soft” materials. The basic concepts behind the most common theoretical approaches and experimental techniques will be presented and discussed. The rationale is to provide the resources to understand what could be the role of physical principles in the world of biology. The goal of this course is to make the students able to read and understand the actual cross-disciplinary literature to identify new research projects and open issues.
