THE STUDENT WILL REFINE TO A HIGHLY ADVANCED LEVEL HIS OR HER SPECIALISED SKILLS IN THE ANALYSIS OF INTERMEDIAL AND INTERCULTURAL DYNAMICS RELATING TO THE LITERATURES AND CULTURES OF THE ENGLISH-SPEAKING AREA OF AMERICA, AS WELL AS ITS CULTURAL GEOGRAPHIES AND THE PROBLEMS OF CULTURAL IDENTITY, WITH IN-DEPTH ATTENTION TO FORMS OF CULTURAL HYBRIDISATION AND THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE MEDIA AND THE ARTS, AND TO THE PROBLEMS OF THE DIDACTICS OF LITERATURE. HE WILL ALSO ACQUIRE A HIGH LEVEL OF ABILITY TO INDEPENDENTLY PERFECT HIS THEORETICAL-METHODOLOGICAL SKILLS, AS WELL AS TO CRITICALLY USE THE TOOLS OF PHILOLOGICAL AND CRITICAL-LITERARY ANALYSIS FOR THE INTERPRETATION OF CULTURAL PHENOMENA, IN PARTICULAR OF TRANSCULTURAL TRANSLATION PROCESSES AND THE DYNAMICS OF INTERMEDIARY COMMUNICATION.
