I module: Aspects of Italian linguistic history in the second half of the 19th century (Prof. Giovanardi). The course will highlight the fundamental aspects of the linguistic history of the second half of the nineteenth century, focusing in particular on events relating to the question of language and the development of narrative language. Module II: History of language and dialects in comparison (Prof. Mocciaro). In addition to the history of contemporary Italian language, the module will analyse the varieties of the Italian linguistic repertoire with reference to diatopic varieties, which will be examined in their most characteristic aspects, geo-synonyms, dialectisms, the popular Italian of the past. Tools and methods of field research. Language students may receive 6 CFU by opting for one of the two modules.
