COMPARATIVE ANATOMY OF VERTEBRATES AND EMBRIOLOGY
(objectives)
THE COURSE PROPOSES THE OBJECTIVE TO SUPPLY THE STUDENT THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE ABOUT BIOLOGY AND THE ANATOMY OF THE SUBPHYLUM OF THE VERTEBRATES IN EVOLUTIONARY KEY. THE ANATOMY ORGANIZATION IS READ, FOR EACH CLASS OF VERTEBRATES, IN ADAPTIVE AND EVOLUTIONARY TERMS. VERTEBRATI ALLOWS A COMPARISON WITH THE NUMEROUS FOSSIL FORMS, NOT AVAILABLE FOR OTHER PHYLA ANIMALS. THE PREVALENTLY EXPECTED FORMATION OBJECTIVES CONTAIN: 1) LEARNING AND STUDYING THE COMPARATIVE METHOD 2) THE USE OF KNOWLEDGE TO PROCESS EXPLANATIONS 3) OBSERVATION, DESCRIPTION, THE CAPACITY OF DETECTION. ACQUISITION OF THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE ON THE GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF ANIMAL DEVELOPMENT, FROM THE GAMETOGENESIS TO THE FORMATION OF THE ORGANS. SETTING THE BASES FOR THE UNDERSTANDING OF MOLECULAR MECHANISMS THAT ADJUST DEVELOPMENT PROCESSES, SUCH AS CELL DIFFERENTIATION AND MORPHOGENESIS. TO SUPPORT THEORETICAL SKILLS TO THE STUDENT AND PRACTICES THAT ALLOW THE MICROSCOPIC RECOGNITION OF EMBRYON STRUCTURES OF VERTEBRATI.
