(curriculum LLE) Syntax. Familiarity with the major theoretical and methodological issues of syntactic analysis, starting fro the correlation between semantic roles and syntagmatic structure, so as to reach advanced competences in the analysis of sentential structure.
(curriculum OCI) Semantics and pragmatics: reflection on the possible approaches to the notion of meaning, starting from the definition of the boundaries between semantics and pragmatics; insight in the problems related with lexical and grammatical meaning; as for the pragmatic part, some major subjects will be treated, such as the theory of speech acts deixis, implicatures and the distribution of information.
