Starting from a preliminary knowledge on the practical use of some main media, TV cinema, computer camera, the course aims to highlight the specific languages. Each medium is not neutral but has specific characteristics that you need to know to make proper use of them in education. This seems to us indispensable because the media are not reality but represent it. They have enormous potential, but they must always be included in a project of critical analysis by the educator, who in this case could accustom young people to ask themselves these questions: who produced the message, for what purposes? What interests are behind it? With what techniques was it built? What impact does it have on the audience? Then we will move on to an online exchange and teaching project with schools, centres, universities, which will try in particular to highlight the interactive perspective of the use of the Internet.
