Acquisition of a basic knowledge of the written and oral Portuguese language, equivalent to level B1 described by the 'European reference framework for languages'. Acquisition of the necessary tools to carry out communication in a day-to-day situation of immediate relevance, as well as the ability to understand and produce autonomous written and oral short texts of elementary linguistic content. Acquisition of the main features of the diachronic development, from the Latin matrix, of the Portuguese language.
