(objectives)
(1A) Language Structures. Knowledge of the basic notions and aspects of linguistics, such as for instance, the concepts of phoneme, morpheme, phrase and lexeme. Understanding of the distinction between different levels of analysis. Development of the abilities related with an adequate and rigorous use of the methodologies of linguistic research. (1B) The languages of the World: major languages families. Development of the capacity of applying the acquired abilities to comparative analysis. Language classifications (genetic comparison, typology and language contact) and advanced reflection on language families and the levels of grammar which are more often relevant for their conjoined analysis.
