Curriculum

Massimo Musacchio (PhD) is a technologist researcher at INGV. His skills are Environmental remote sensing and Spectral analysis by using both in situ and space retrieved measurements. Development of codes for early detection of thermal anomalies by using geostationary satellites. Proposition and management of proposal for monitoring active volcano. He leaded several projects funded by ESA (European Spatial Agency), ASI (Italian Space Agency) such as : Study of observability of volcanoes with VIS/IR satellite data” (2006). As a INGV Scientific project manager he followed the CHIME and RCS CHIME Mission Requirements Consolidation (2019-21), ESA-HYPER Hyperspectral Imaging Mission Concepts (2017), ESA-VEGAN Volcanic Eruption Impact on Vegetation and Agriculture Using Earth Observation Data (2016-17) and for the Italian Apace Agency he leaded the ASI-SHALOM “Affidamento delle attività relative allo sviluppo di prodotti iperspettrali prototipali evoluti nell’ambito del Programma Congiunto iperspettrale” funded project.
