This course introduces the foundations that underlie all of economics. The class is divided and explore the two broad divisions within economics:
microeconomics, and macroeconomics. The first part of the course looks at individual agents' behaviors and their interactions in markets. It focuses on the study of consumer choice theory and the theories of price and production for goods and factors under various market structures.
The second part of the course focuses on the study of the economic system from an aggregate perspective. Topics covered Includes distribution of income, unemployment, inflation, and the impact of government policies on economic activity.

THE COURSE AIMS TO EXPLAIN THE EVOLUTION OF ITALIAN POLITICAL SYSTEM FROM UNIFICATION TO THE CRISIS OF 1992, SHOWING HIS PECULIARITIES AND HIS STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS. THE COURSE WILL WIDEN THE SCIENTIFIC DEBATE AND WILL FURNISH ELEMENTS OF HISTORICAL METHOD.

The workshop "Methods and instruments of historical-geographical research" provides a basic understanding of concepts, theories, methods and instruments of historical and geographical research. We shall also study current techniques of investigation on geographical sciences, with particular attention to the development of geographic data from databases, search of documentary sources (qualitative and quantitative), design of digital maps. Are required: basic knowledge of geography and basic computer knowledge (with initial testing for admission); analytical skills, ability to work individually and in groups. It requires a load of work to do outside the classroom. They provided evidence of selective testing in progress and the realization by students of a paper or a final product.

Description of the course. The course examines basic literary Italian authors, works and movements of the second part of the nineteenth century and of the twentieth century taking into consideration also a comparative perspective. From the birth of the new Italian state up to the present times it will follow the development of our literary history both on the lyrical and narrative sides, placing all authors in their historical and geographical contexts and giving examples of reading and of textual analysis of their major works..

N.B. Preparatory to the teaching of contemporary Italian literature

This lecture class offers an introduction to the history of photographic languages, practices, and cultures from the origins to the post-WWII period. Lectures will focus on the "close reading" of different types of photographic texts (including individual images, series, photo-texts, books, and exhibitions) and will discuss case studies associated with the crucial moments in the medium's affirmation as an intellectural and artistic field.

Lacking an appropriate survey book (at least in Italian), a list of required readings will be provided at the beginning of classes.
Attendance is not strictly required, but it is warmly suggested.

Unit I - 6 cfu (36 hours).
The Italian agriculture from the “agricultural revolution” to the “end of the farmers”.
The course aims at reconstructing, in the framework of the European context, the essential moments and aspects of the transformation processes that during the centuries XIX-XX marked the Italian agriculture. A particular attention will be paid to the analysis of the property structure changes and of the related forms of management, of the farming and productive transformations in relation to the environmental peculiarities of the different Italian territorial contexts and to the market’s dynamics, until the wide rural hexode and the radical and rapid affirmation of industrial agriculture in the second part of the 20th century.

Il corso analizza i cambiamenti storici e politici che hanno interessato i principali attori dell’Asia orientale soprattutto a partire dal secondo dopoguerra. A questo scopo una particolare attenzione sarà dedicata alle posizioni occupate dal Giappone e dalla Cina nel quadro della Guerra Fredda e alle loro interazioni con gli altri attori asiatici, con le due superpotenze e con l’Europa.
L’analisi dei fattori generatisi durante gli anni del bipolarismo favorirà poi l’individuazione dei momenti di continuità e di discontinuità che sono riscontrabili, alla luce dei processi di globalizzazione in atto, nella più recente esperienza politico-diplomatica della regione estremorientale.

The Italian agriculture from the “agricultural revolution” to the “end of the farmers”.
The course aims at reconstructing, in the framework of the European context, the essential moments and aspects of the transformation processes that during the centuries XIX-XX marked the Italian agriculture. This lecture class offers an introduction to the history of photographic languages, practices, and cultures from the origins to the post-WWII period. Lectures will focus on the "close reading" of different types of photographic texts (including individual images, series, photo-texts, books, and exhibitions) and will discuss case studies associated with the crucial moments in the medium's affirmation as an intellectural and artistic field.

Lacking an appropriate survey book (at least in Italian), a list of required readings will be provided at the beginning of classes.
Attendance is not strictly required, but it is warmly suggested.

The course will provide a basic knowledge of the principal events and problems on the Church history in the early modern and modern age, also in connection with another religious confessions. It will pay particular attention to the space-time placement of the discussed subjects, to the exact terminology and to the religious institutions’ significance and role. This course introduces the foundations that underlie all of economics. The class is divided and explore the two broad divisions within economics:

Unit I - 6 cfu (36 hours).
The Italian agriculture from the “agricultural revolution” to the “end of the farmers”.
The course aims at reconstructing, in the framework of the European context, the essential moments and aspects of the transformation processes that during the centuries XIX-XX marked the Italian agriculture. A particular attention will be paid to the analysis of the property structure changes and of the related forms of management, of the farming and productive transformations in relation to the environmental peculiarities of the different Italian territorial contexts and to the market’s dynamics, until the wide rural hexode and the radical and rapid affirmation of industrial agriculture in the second part of the 20th century.

Il corso analizza i cambiamenti storici e politici che hanno interessato i principali attori dell’Asia orientale soprattutto a partire dal secondo dopoguerra. A questo scopo una particolare attenzione sarà dedicata alle posizioni occupate dal Giappone e dalla Cina nel quadro della Guerra Fredda e alle loro interazioni con gli altri attori asiatici, con le due superpotenze e con l’Europa.
L’analisi dei fattori generatisi durante gli anni del bipolarismo favorirà poi l’individuazione dei momenti di continuità e di discontinuità che sono riscontrabili, alla luce dei processi di globalizzazione in atto, nella più recente esperienza politico-diplomatica della regione estremorientale.

ANALYTICAL METHODS OF ECONOMIC POLICY

PREREQUISITES:

THE CONTENTS OF THE PROGRAM OF POLITICAL ECONOMY.

The workshop "Methods and instruments of historical-geographical research" provides a basic understanding of concepts, theories, methods and instruments of historical and geographical research. We shall also study current techniques of investigation on geographical sciences, with particular attention to the development of geographic data from databases, search of documentary sources (qualitative and quantitative), design of digital maps. Are required: basic knowledge of geography and basic computer knowledge (with initial testing for admission); analytical skills, ability to work individually and in groups. It requires a load of work to do outside the classroom. They provided evidence of selective testing in progress and the realization by students of a paper or a final product.
