The workshop will focus on the following topics: Image as document and image as memory; camera, cameraman, and performer's body; The body of the performer and the "corpus" of the editing.
This laboratory will cover the key phases of designing, producing, and disseminating an audiovisual product for live performance, both theoretically and practically.
A key objective of the laboratory is to stimulate reflection about the use of photographs and audiovisual images as documentation of performative works, but also as a means to express critical and creative thought.
We will address the different stages of the project from both a methodological and technical standpoint, as well as through a detailed exploration of key theoretical issues related to video and photography documentation languages in the context of performative art. This will be accomplished by analyzing concrete examples from experts and masters in the field.
Throughout the course, the students will be guided in designing and producing an audiovisual project. The project's specific content and format will be decided based on the participants' average level of knowledge and skills.
