-) English as a "global language";
-) morphology (derivational morphemes and inflectional morphemes, main mechanisms of word formation in English);
-) lexicon (English word classes and their properties, idioms and phrasal verbs);
-) semantics (meaning relationships and types of meaning);
-) syntax (types of syntagms, types of syntactic functions, English-focussing phrasal structures);
-) basic notions of text linguistics.
