Development and in-depth reflection on the theories and methods of syntactic analysis. Detailed analysis (and relevant application) on the relation between semantic (argument) roles and syntactic functions, as well as of the relation between syntax and discourse features for the interpretation of information structure at the interfaces.
The syntactic analysis will be based on phenomena taken from different languages, with particular attention to the languages included in the students’ curricula.
