The aim of the course is to focus the students' attention on the theme of modern design in a historical context and at the same time to stimulate their knowledge of the subject.

Il corso richiede una conoscenza approfondita dell'architettura contemporanea e di quella storica. Per questo si rimanda alle bibliografie dei relativi corsi del Dipartimento.

Fundamentals of technical physics: heat transfer, acoustics, lighting design.
Applications to building physics: heat transfer in buildings, heating and cooling thermal loads, thermohygrometric, acoustic and luminous comfort, principles of psychrometry, principles of thermotechnical plants.
Energy retrofit of buildings.
