The main educational goal of this module is intended to give students an introduction to central themes in Roman history.
Students are introduced to the main types of evidence for Roman history and to various modern methodologies.
No previous knowledge of classical languages or ancient history is assumed. The educational goal of unit II is to familiarize students
with the use of an ancient source for the historical reconstruction of events.
